According to figures published this week for the first half of 2024, Greece is headed for a record year for tourism. That’s on top of last year’s record year. Where will it end?
Spain is also headed for a record year, with visitor numbers for 2024 expected to be around 95 million, which is 10 million more than last year.
Italy, too, is experiencing increases, with 215 million visitors expected in 2024, an increase of 1.6% on 2023. Compared to figures like that, Greece’s 33 million visitors in 2023 seems like small fry. Mind you, Italy is twice the size of Greece and Spain almost four times as big, and both have many more large cities attracting tourists.
This week, we simply bring you a selection of photos, showing why Greece is so attractive to visitors. They might just inspire you to pay a visit.
Till next time
