BREAKING NEWS
For anyone heading to Greece soon, note that there’s a ferry strike planned for October 22-23. This may get resolved, they often are, but be ready for the possibility and read more here.
People are already planning their 2025 holidays in Greece, and according to American Express, Paros is one of the top destinations being looked at. This was a small survey of Millennials and Gen Z travelers, and when you delve a little deeper it turns out to be a survey of just over 2,000 people done over two days, and Paros came 8th on the list of bucket list destinations. Above it on the list are such places as Moab, Brittany and Brisbane.
We don’t take these surveys too seriously, as they’re usually created to generate publicity for someone, but it’s interesting to see that Paros is the top place in Greece on their list
Paros
Of course if you’re not a Millennial or Gen Z person, you might wish to avoid Paros next year, but if it makes you curious what Paros has got to offer then take a look at our website page here. It’ll tell you what there is to do, and how to get there.
Antiparos
Of course our first inclination would be to look at the neighbouring smaller island of Antiparos, and consider staying there and making day trips to explore Paros. You can read all about Antiparos here.
Getting to Antiparos
Antiparos is really close to Paros and you can zip between the two islands in anything from about five minutes to half an hour. This depends where you’re leaving from and going to, the type of boat, and the weather conditions.
Uber on Paros
The other recent news about Paros is that Uber has now extended its operations to the island. Till now it’s operated in the really major destinations like Santorini, Mykonos, and Corfu, and of course in Athens and Thessaloniki. Depending on the destination, you can also use Uber for ferry rides as well as taxis. As an example of its increasing popularity, the number of Uber rides in Thessaloniki between June and September increased by 76%, and Ubers to and from Athens Airport went up by 50%.
