Not the best reason, no, though I've read a lot about the Battle of Crete, including memoirs of the time, and it involved some very brave people. Have you read Ill Met by Moonlight? Amazing story. I adapted it into a radio play for the BBC.
Really?! I have a vintage copy of that book sitting on my shelf right now! I’ve written a few times about the Battle of Crete and will be walking the evacuation route - 100km - this May!!
